JULY 1

  • 7/1 I Pledge Project: Woodside Farm Creamery: Kids 12 and under receive a free ice cream cone for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance from memory!  4 - 7 PM. They are open until 11 pm on July 4th. 


JULY 3

  • 7/3 Free Admission - Military Members & Veterans - Fort Delaware. Delaware City. All day. 


5 Watermelon Hacks for the Ultimate Summer Refresh

  • 12 - 4 PM Free Ship Tours - Kalmar Nyckel: Explore the Tall Ship of Delaware on a free guided deck tour and discover her remarkable story. Copeland Maritime Center.
  • 1, 2, & 3 PM Hagley Cannon Firings: Salute our nation with demonstrations of our signal cannon during the long holiday weekend. Please note this is a weather-dependent event. 
  • 1:30 PM Annual July Bell-Ringing Ceremony: Celebrate the 4th of July like the 18th-century Delawareans who gathered in New Castle to support the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Immanuel Church on the Green, New Castle. 
  • ๐ŸŽ† 3 PM Hockessin 4th Parade and Celebrations: 3 PM Parade on Old Lancaster Pike. 2 - 8 PM Live music. Beer Garden. Fireworks start around dusk by the Hockessin Public Library (Valley Road), Artesian Soccer Fields, Piedmont Baseball Fields or Swift Park.
  • 5:05 PM Blue Rocks vs Jersey Shore BlueClaws: Wilmington Blue Rocks, Frawley Stadium, 801 Shipyard Drive, Wilmington, DE 19801. 
  • ๐ŸŽ† 6 - 10 PM UD Athletic Complex, Newark: Live entertainment, art, food, community vendors & more. 6 - 10 PM
    • Free Parking: University of Delaware Athletic Complex lots, UD Stadium and Bob Carpenter Center, the Woods Lot (off of Route 4), and the STAR Campus north and south parking lots.
  • ๐ŸŽ† Town of Middletown: launching from Silver Lake Park at dusk.

  • 12:00 - 3:00 PM 4th of July Celebration - City of Wilmington: Live music, cultural demonstrations and performances, kids' games and attractions, and a diverse selection of food from local food trucks and participating downtown restaurants. Rodney Square. 
  • 1, 2, & 3 PM Hagley Cannon Firings
  • 6:05 PM Blue Rocks Military Appreciation Camp Cap & Military Appreciation Night
JULY 6 
  • 1, 2, & 3 PM Hagley Cannon Firings
  • 1:05 PM Blue Rocks Sunday Family Fun Day: Post-Game Kids Run the Bases, Pre-Game Catch on the Field, COPA: Puerto Rican Cultural Celebration
